Expanding on the "stealth" mechanic and its interaction with the world around it we developed the Timidsprout featured here. This plant will curl itself up protecting its vulnerable and (to some) delicious bulbs from perceived dangers; in this case the player. But could I stop there? No I had to write in a system for managing mycelial communication from plant to plant so that they could warn each other when one detects a danger... With that I added strength values and degradation to the communicating vessel from node to node on the mycelium network giving each plant receiving the warning the ability to decide for itself how to respond. Overdeveloped? For this, maybe; but now that the Network exists I cannot wait to expand on it and give even the flora of Asyle depth and behavioral character!
